A Feast At Borneo Convention Centre Kuching

Last two weeks, we went to the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching for Iftar (break fasting during Ramadhan). It was superb! It was just my family along with my Aunt Siti, Nek Mama and Hakim. If I'm not mistaken, it was RM70+ per person, which was considered okay for a buffet with VARIOUS FOOD SELECTION mhmmm. They basically had everything from the usual Malaysian side dishes to salads to seafood to Italian to fruits to cakes to ice-cream! I'm sure I'm missing out a couple more things cause there were so many. I didn't get the chance to snap pictures of the food but here are some photos of us after we chowed down.

It was a lovely, lovely evening. The buffet finished at 10PM so we stayed until then haha. Would totally recommend this place for those of you who wish to dine here in the future. I'm sure they'll make another Ramadhan Buffet next year..at least I hope so!

Post-Ramadhan

Hey guys! Sooo sorry, I haven't been posting for over a month now. Cray! I will try to blog as often as possible now. Been really occupied the past month. It was the fasting month (Ramadhan) and I've just been out and about running errands and stuff. Especially around 5:30PM where my sister and I would start cooking for dinner (Iftar). And last week, I've been baking non stop.

Every year, my mom would bake cheesecakes for Raya Aidilfitri which will be celebrated the day after the last day of Ramadhan. But her beading business has been growing rapidly and she said she wouldn't be able to bead and bake too. Since I've helped her before with baking and every Raya there will be cake orders coming in, I volunteered to bake instead. So the last five days, I've baked around twenty-two cheesecakes. IT.WAS.CRAY. I haven't felt so pressured for so long. Last time I felt this tired was when I was doing my diploma. But that was worse! Anyway, so I had to bake all these cakes and deliver them just in time for Raya.

So tonight I was supposed to sleep early to get enough rest for Raya tomorrow but..I guess not. I went out with my boyfriend just now and we grabbed coffee. Ding ding ding! No sleep tonight! Or rather less sleep, hmm. I've been wanting to blog since last couple of weeks but I just couldn't find time to do it. And if I don't blog tonight, I might not until Raya ends. So basically it was like now or never. To the ones who celebrate Raya, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri! I know there are gonna be loads of food to feast on but try not to stuff yourselves too much. Nobody wants to feel sick during Raya when you had been fasting for a whole month! Nevertheless, enjoy the food, the company and cherish precious moments with your loved ones. Take care everyone!
